Eligibility For Admission : |

|
i) Every candidate for
seeking admission to the Diploma course in Business Management
shall have taken the Bachelors Degree Examination in any
Faculty of the Shivaji University or of any other University
in similar courses of studies recognized by this University as
equivalent there to or any Diploma ( 3 years duration )
awarded and recognized by the Maharashtra Board of Technical
Education or any states ' Board of Technical Education as
equivalent there to with 2 years ' work experience.
Note : Any Government or Semi-Government Organization
or Public Concern having functions of commercial
administrative nature can also sponsor candidates. |

SELECTION COMMITTEE : |
|
The selection of the trainees for
Diploma Course shall be on the basis of the interview to be
taken by the selection committee to be appointed by the
Vice-chancellor. The composition of the committee may ordinarily
be as follows. |
|
1. Dean of the Faculty of Commerce
2. Principal of the college where the centre is
located
3. Chairman of Board of studies in Business
Administration ( Newly formed )
4. i) Industrialists from the region.
ii) Experts |

SELECTION OF CANDIDATES : |
|
The selection committee shall test the
following |
|
i) Candidates adequate knowledge of English and Mathematics
ii) Intellectual caliber
iii) Work experience for leadership in extra curricular
activities.
iv) Motivation for the programme
v) Potential for achieving a managerial position. |
|
|
|
TEACHING ARRANGEMENTS : |
|
Classes may be held in the morning.
There shall be two lecturing Periods per subject per week and in
addition tutorial periods, seminars and surprise tests will be
set.
Class room instruction will be supplemented with talks by
speakers from business, seminars, discussions and case studies.
An industrial excursion will, for which students should be
willing to spare an amount of Rs. 300/- to 500/- will be
arranged for their benefit. |

NO FEES ARE REFUNDABLE ON ANY ACCOUNT : |
|
1) Eligibility fees will
be as prescribed by the University from time to time.
2) All the above fees except Caution Money and Library Deposit
are non-refundable once a student is provisionally admitted.
3) University Examination fees will be payable with Examination
Application form ( The University Examination will be held in a
year in the first half of the calendar year.)
4) No concession in fees is available for D. B. M. Course is
meant for salaried persons.
5) Fees for course material, industrial tour, own your books
scheme etc. will be charged separately. |

General Instructions : |
|
1 |
Candidate are admitted to the
course subject to the University Rules as to eligibility
and grant of terms etc. |
|
2 |
Every candidate must attend the
classes regularly and complete his class work, tutorials
and seminars, assignments and periodic tests including
surprises tests as may be required from time to time. |
|
3 |
Candidate should carefully read
before being admitted, the prospectus issued by the
Institute as well as the relevant University Pamphlets and
regulations of the course selected by them. The rules
contained in them as well as the rules those may be made
from time to time and put up on the Notice Board are
binding on the candidate and their guardians. |
|
4 |
The fees prescribed for the course
must be paid at the time of admission. Failure to do so
shall result in cancellation of admission. |
|
5 |
If a candidate is entitled to any
Government Scholarship or free ship, the amount of such
scholarship or free ship will be paid to him / her when it
is actually received. |
|
6 |
For grant of the two terms and for
eligibility to fill in the university examination form of
the course, all candidate must attend at least 80% of the
lectures for the course. |
|
7 |
No candidate shall be considered
to have pursued the regular course of study unless he /
she is certified by the Principal to have attended at
least 80% of the classes and all tutorials and seminars. |
|
8 |
Candidate will be exposed to the
business executives and experts in the field through
regular seminars and guest lectures attendance for the
same will be compulsory. |
|
9 |
A very high standard of
discipline, regularity and punctuality is expected of the
candidates. Failure of which will be viewed seriously in
judging their performance. |
|
10 |
No candidate shall be allowed to
appear for the University Examination unless he / she
satisfies all the rules and regulations those may be made
from time to time. |
|
11 |
Fees are not refundable on any
account except the deposit amounts for Library and
caution. Whenever admission of a candidate is to be
cancelled by him / her, the candidate should intimate to
the Principal, in writing, with the written consent of his
/ her guardian before beginning of the term. |
