Academic year and Semester System : |
|
A semester system has
been adopted by the YCMOU for computer programmes. In this
scheme, an academic year consists of two semesters, each 6
months duration. |

Duration of Programme : |
|
The B.Sc. (IT)
programme has a duration of 3 years ( 6 Semesters ). |
|
|
|
Eligibility : |
|
The student should have passed XIIth
of HSC Borad of Maharashtra, or its equivalent examination,
with Mathematics. |
|
|
|
Reservation : |
|
Reservation of seats
for candidates belonging to backward and other backward and
other backward classes from Maharashtra state will be done as
per the directives of the Govt. of Maharashtra. |

|
|
Registration of Students : |
|
Visit various YCMOU
B.Sc. (IT) Centers and select the one of your choice. You should
carry out your entire computer practical on this study centre.
The co-ordinator of your study centre will supervise your
practical activities. Fill up your application form and submit
it at the study centre along with the fees. Do not send your
application form directly to the University. |

Fees to be paid : |
|
The total fee of B.Sc. (I.T.)
programme is Rs. 6500/- per semester. It consists of two parts :
* University Fee : Rs. 1500/-
* Study Center Fee : Rs. 5000/-
The student should pay the total fee to the study center along
with your Admission form. The University fee includes
examination fee. Student is expected to appear in the
examination conducted at the end of the semester. If student
fails or remains absent in the examination, he will have to pay
re-examination fee for appearing in the next examination. |

Refund of fees : |
|
The procedure for
refund of fees due to cancellation of admission is as below -
* If a student applies for refund of fees within 2 months from
the date mentioned on the fee receipt given to the student,
the remaining fees, after dedication of 25% of the total
amount, would be paid to the student.
* If a student applies for refund of fees after2 months from
the date mentioned on the fee receipt given to the student,
the application would not be considered for refund and no
amount would be paid to the student.
Note : Students should attach original receipt with an
application for refund of fees. Student should return all the
workbooks and text books and any other material given by the
study centre and should obtain the "No Objection Certificate"
from the study centre. The No Objection Certificate should be
attached with an application form. |
